Sunday Recap - April 22nd
The truth is God is always inviting us to be involved in his work and when He invites you, it will be more spectacular than you can even imagine or accomplish on your own. Stay in tune with him – spend time praying, reading his word, connecting with other believers – listening and learning and sensing. And out of the time you fellowship with Him, God will surely reveal his plans to you. You will need to be patient because it’s about God’s timing, not yours!
Trust God and obey wholeheartedly where He has put you, and watch to see where He leads you next.
Key Scriptures: “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working…Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.” John 5:17, 19-20 (NIV)
Some Sunday takeaways on seeing where God is at work in those around you:
- Start praying - Start praying that God will continue to open their heart toward him.
- Ask questions - Ask the kind of probing questions that will reveal what is happening in people’s lives without being intrusive or aggressive.
- Listen attentively - listening for statements or questions that reveal where God is at work in their lives.
- Be prepared to respond - If someone confides a personal need, pray for them. If someone needs assurance, share a verse with them.
