Sunday Recap - Feb. 18th

After much opposition and a promised blood bath, the work on the wall stops and the people of Israel are scared. Nehemiah steps in to rally the people saying, ‘Don’t forget, God’s in this.  Don’t forget, your families and your future are worth fighting for.”

Key Scriptures: “After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.”  Nehemiah 4:13-15 (NIV)

Some Sunday takeaways on coming together:

  • There is unbelievable power released when the people of God pull together.
  • We will only be successful if everyone pulls together, works hard, gives sacrificially, and puts the focus on God first.
