Sunday Recap - Sept. 23rd

Now in the book of Acts, we see and will see that the miracles the apostles performed were used as opportunities to bring attention to Jesus.  It wasn’t to wow a crowd. It wasn’t to boost an ego.  It was a way to demonstrate God’s glory and power and lead people to Christ.

Key Scriptures: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12 (NIV)

Some Sunday takeaways on the extraordinary gospel:

  1. When God does something extraordinary, give Him the credit.

  2. Point of a miracle is to point people to Jesus.

  3. Being a witness for Jesus comes with opposition.

  4. God loves to use ordinary men and women to accomplish His work.
